What’s New?
You should review this page at least once a week. News will be posted here, as well as links
to supplemental readings that are new for the week. Readings for previous weeks can be found by clicking on the
date on the previous page (click the "Back" button to get there).
The first version of the "Introduction to SAS" is now
available. Warning: this is not
complete; it covers creating libraries, working with data tables and
importing data from Excel. If you want
to get an early start, either click
here to read the current version (5:00 p.m. May 10) or click here to view the Word
file. I've added a pdf version for
those who like their output neatly formatted. Click here for the pdf file (about
1.2 megabytes).
Notes for lecture May 17: click here to view
them as a Word file or here to view a pdf
version. (The translation to a web
page didn't work real well, but if you're willing to take a chance, click here.)
Notes for lecture April 19: click here to view
them as a web page or here to view them as a Word
file (which you can then save to your hard drive). (Note: I added two pages
to the end of these notes at 11:30 a.m. April 19.)
Prof. Maxwell's notes for weeks 1, 2 and 5 are now available. Click here to
download all the notes as a self-extracting file. Save this file into an empty folder on your hard drive, open
the folder in Windows Explorer and double-click the file name to extract the
three Word files. Or you can view
them as web pages by clicking the links below. (Warning: some of the graphics didn't survive the transition to
html very well.)
