RE: NEW SOFTWARE
For the last quarter, Division Y has been using new computer software. Apparently, top management is impressed enough with results that this software is to be installed in all divisions - including ours. The sketchy information is that this new software allows sales managers to "drill down" to determine:
sales by individual product line, salesperson, geographic area, and customer
status of inventory
current processing status of individual sales transactions
- all in "real time."
Our meeting here is to begin shortly. Please provide me, as soon as possible, some specific ideas, based on the above, as to how we might use the information provided by such software to improve the management of our division.
Draft the e-mail (heading, complete sentences, etc) to respond to your leader's message.
